You are thinking far too much for your own good sister! Life is too short for you not to see and experience your husband's country. Like you I am married to an Iranian man, I am not a muslim, I am not a practising christian, but I have very strong believes that me signing that piece of paper converting to Islam is no more valid in the big scheme of things than my pun baby head being forced flushed with water in the baptism ceremony ages ago. Besides, Islam and Christianity are very much linked together so much so that they are the same religion in a lot of senses. If you worry about Islam, read the Qoran. Do not listen to propraganda or paternalistic mullahs. Islam is a very egalitarian religion, in no way does it prescribe that females are less worth than men. In no way does it say that women has to be veiled. These are just regional,cultural variations. Do not confuse age old mullah masochism with the true, basic teachings of Islam. Again, I am not a muslim, but I have read about the faith out of curiosity and it is a very straight and clearsighted vision. In a sense, an update on the Bibles teachings. Please do not change your mind, you will have the time of your life in Iran. I promise you. See it as a gift not as a burden. An update on your senses so to speak.
