Maybe I should restate myself clearer. I am of the opinian that in order for a person to call themselves white they should be caucasian, christian and descend from that place that caucasian christians named "Europe". I know this isn't the opinion of the US government but thats of no concern. I agree that Iranians are caucasian, as are Hindis and various other peoples in Asia (for lack of a better term). Absolutely yes Iranians are caucasian. But in order for a person to be "white" one has to be caucasian, christian and descend from "Europe". Out of convenience whites call this place where they descend from "Europe". Europe's real boundaries are the lands on its perimeter where nonchristians and/or noncaucasians descend from. I would be willing to bet that if Turkey were Christian that they would be considered European and "white" and the border of Europe would be on Iran's border. Yes there are indigenous peoples in Europe who aren't christian (70% Albanians for example) but like I said before they are not considered white or even Europeans by the christians of the Balkans. The serbs and greeks think of them as Turks even though they aren't. The greeks probably don't mind the eastern orthodox albanian and probably would consider them "Europeans" and "white". Lets look at some other examples. The Hungarians and Finns. Yes they speak an Asiatic language but they are christians and they look no different then any other northern/central European (caucasian) and they live within "Europe". I agree that there is very little difference in looks between a Sicilian, for example, and a Tunisian. The only reason I would say the Sicilian is white and not the Tunisian is because the Tunisian is islamic. I say that Islamic culture is very different from Christian culture even though they have alot in common. This is the reason for the distinction between Europe and non-Europeans. This is the reason the border was drawn. The hords from the east were probably a factor as well. Here is another example. I knew a Syrian Christian from India of all places while I was in college. He was caucasian as many indians are and a practicing christian. I would say he isn't European because he doesn't look like any of the peoples (whites) who descend from "Europe" and besides he doesn't associate himself with the christians from Europe. Europeans aren't his brethren as he put it, Indians are. I would be willing to bet that if Spain were Islamic today that the spanish wouldn't be considered white or European even though the geography has it attached to "Europe". They would be looked at just like the Turks are today. I would like to hear your response.
